I am a qualified as a consultant cardiologist in the United Kingdom, having undertaken cardiology training in the East of England at Royal Papworth Hospital. I will shortly be taking up a permanent position as an interventional cardiologist in Liverpool, UK.

At present, I am undertaking additional training in advanced coronary and structural intervention at the Royal Jubilee Hospital, in British Columbia, Canada. This includes further training in:

  • advanced imaging techniques such as optical coherence tomography (OCT) and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS)
  • rotational atherectomy (rotablation) and laser atherectomy
  • treatment of complex coronary disease including multi vessel disease and left main stem disease
  • chronic total occlusions
  • transcatheter aortic valve intervention (TAVI)
  • left atrial appendage occlusion

Upon my return to the UK, I hope to be undertaking many of these interventions as part of my ongoing practice.
